With regard to CrossFit, the muscle-up is that elusive, “Holy Grail” type of movement that everyone strives to achieve. And the moment that one does achieve it, is a moment of triumph, satisfaction, and smiles. 

James stopped by the box just to say “hi” on Wednesday morning. Instead (being the athlete-minded guy that he is), he decided to do the WOD along side of me (“Annie”). However, shortly before that, he started messing around on the rings. I told him, “Dude, you can get a muscle-up, I know it.” That was all I needed to say. Within about 10 minutes, James completed his very first muscle-up! That moment never gets old for me–it’s inspiring to witness things that, at first, people may never imagine they can do. Well, James did it.
