Least favorite WOD (workout): The 3-mile run we did a few weeks back!
Tell us about your sports and fitness background: I’ve been doing sports since I could walk. I fell in love with softball, and then in high school, I started Cheerleading. CrossFit reminds me a lot of cheer, so I think that’s one of the reasons why I love it so much!
How did you first get exposed to CrossFit? My family friend, Matt, was tagged in one of Big Horn’s events. I talked with him about it and he brought me the next Saturday.
Take us back to your first WOD (workout): My first WOD was the lovely lady named Nancy. During the WOD I thought Matt was crazy for enjoying this, but after I finished I felt so accomplished and I couldn’t wait to go back!
What sort of changes have you seen in your body? In one month’s time, I’ve lost 16 pounds and I’m so much stronger.
What sort of changes have you seen in your life? I’ve noticed I’m a lot happier and more motivated.
Favorite CrossFit moments? My first PR (personal record). I went from not being able to back squat with a bar, to PRing at 120 pounds!
Advice for people getting started? Don’t let it scare you! It may seem crazy what they’re wanting your body to do, but when you do it, you feel invincible!
Hobbies, interests outside of CrossFit? I’m a crazy girly, and love makeup, shopping all things girly, but I also love to watch sports (Go Steelers!)
