The first week of the program is a “test week” and will include physical skills tests, such as tests of speed, agility, strength, and power. These specific tests will be reassessed during the last week of the program.
The focus of the program will be to increase the athletes’ strength and conditioning through constantly varied, functional movement, executed at high intensity. Also included, will be a linear strength program that will include variations of the back squat, deadlift, and bench press, as well as learning and executing Olympic Weightlifting (Snatch and Clean & Jerk).
General physical preparedness, coupled with specific sports training, will help to increase the athletes’ work capacity and competence in regards to both strength and conditioning and athletic
